This professional grade straight razor or "shavette" works by using half of a Double-Edged Safety Razor Blade. There is no need to sanitise, strop or hone the blades. We strongly recommend that razor blades are for single use only in the professional environment and that a brand-new blade be used for each customer or individual to prevent cross-contamination.
